Building Reopening Plan
In-person services are currently suspended. For now you can watch our services via our YouTube channel at anytime during the week.On Friday March 13, 2020 the Session of First Presbyterian Church of South Saint Paul approved a motion to close the church building as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. A work group spent two months studying the MN “Stay Safe” requirements for places of worship and developed a Preparedness Plan per these guidelines.
The work group developed criteria for when the church building can reopen. This criterion is as follows:
- A positivity rate for the COVID-19 virus of not more than 2% for a minimum of 14 consecutive days in both Dakota and Washington Counties.
- The not more than 2% positivity rate for the COVID-19 virus must be maintained to remain open with excursions up to 2.5% for up to 3 days permitted.
- Appropriate staff is available.
Once the criteria are met, an additional Session review and approval will be required to officially reopen the church building for church-sponsored events.
