Katie Estes Collins: Pastor at First Presbyterian. Katie began her ministry at First Presbyterian in June 2001. Katie graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul. She attended McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago and has served congregations in Geneva IL, Tucson, AZ, Roseville and Bloomington, MN. She lives in South St. Paul with her husband Dave and their children Grace and Shawn. Tom Watson: Pastor at First Presbyterian. Tom is a lifelong Twin Citian and drew up in the western suburbs. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. from Luther Seminary. Tom has previously served at FPC in South St. Paul and at House of Hope. He is married to Lisa, also a Presbyterian Minister, who is a chaplain at Regions Hospital. The Watsons have two children, Emily and Ben. ![]()
Mary Love graduated from the College of St. Catherine with a major in Biology and received a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Michigan. She joined the staff as administrative assistant in May of 2003.
Linda Kachelmeier is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she received a degree in choral music education. She joined the staff at First Presbyterian Church in 1991 as the director of the Celebration Singers and the Children's Choir. Five years later she added the Chancel Choir to her activities at FPC. Linda also sings with The Plymouth Ensemble and the Rose Ensemble in addition to teaching piano and voice lessons. Kathy Hill is FPC's organist. Kathy is a life-long resident of northern Minnesota and is pursuing a Ph.D. at University of Minnesota. She has served as organist/pianist at many congregations. Kathy works in the Minnesota Office of Higher Education and has two children.
Sue Hanson graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.S. in elementary education. She is currently an early childhood special education paraprofessional for Independent School District #197. At First Presbyterian Church she plays in Bells of Praise, as well as accompanies the Celebration Singers and Celebration Youth Choir.
Phyllis Hahn has been the hand bell director since their induction in 1992, directing both the Joyful Ringers (the youth Bell Choir) and the Bells of Praise (the adult choir). The hand bells and choir chimes have been a vital part of our worship environment.
Jim Vasseur joined the staff in the Fall of 2006 and provides custodial services to our church building.
Lynn Dyer and her son Nathan Dyer, our Sunday nursery staff on Sunday mornings during Education and Worship times.
