Children

Infants and Toddlers are always welcome in worship services and at most gatherings, and a professionally-staffed and well-equipped nursery is available throughout our Sunday morning schedule and upon request for special events.  We take seriously our commitment at baptism to help encourage and care for all members of our family of faith, and willing hands are always eager to hold a baby or help out a new parent.

Children age three through sixth grade are encouraged to be part of our Sunday School classes in the Education wing from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. on Sundays.  The morning begins with all ages together for music—singing, rhythm, and simple instrumental instruction is featured.  Children often learn some of the songs and responses featured in that day’s worship service, so that they may more fully participate.  Age-level classes follow, including Godly Play (a curriculum of Bible stories and worship learning) for preschool, kindergarten and first grade students, and Walk with Me (an experiential and topical approach to nurturing faith stories) for second through sixth grade students.
